Surfers Against Sewage

I'm raising money for surfers against sewage because they do amazing work cleaning up our seas, beaches, creating plastic free communities and educating the younger generation about how important it is to keep the sea clean.
​
As I'm swimming up the coast I see plastic in the water and I've been through patches already which you can tell are much more polluted than others through the clarity and the taste of the water. sometimes I've come back to Crews Control after a swim and my face is covered in grime. Clearing up our seas is so important because I can't imagine if people who want to swim the full length of UK in the future, the water conditions they would go through.

Sea Shepherd UK

I'm raising money for Sea Shepherd UK also because they do fabulous work in protecting our wildlife from over fishing and hunting. they cover a huge area making an impact on stopping whaling and the brutal killing of sea creatures.
​
As I swim, I have the privilege of being joined by dolphins, seals and even possibly whales when I get more North. knowing that these animals are hunted needlessly closer to the UK than you realise makes me want to help to protect them. I feel like I've been accepted into their world so want to do my bit in preserving their environment but also them.\
